REINVIGORATING THE BANDUNG SPIRIT THROUGH NAASP

The heads of state and government of 54 Asian-African countries walk the fifty meters from the Hotel Homann to the Merdeka Building, re-enacting the historic walk performed by the founding fathers of the first Asian-African Conference held there in April 1955.

The New Asian- African Strategic Partners ( NAASP) declaration signed by the participating countries was formally adopted at a cermony held inside the Merdeka Building on April 24. More stories and pictures are presented in a special report on page 21 of this issue.
